Christmas Crafting Week: Pom-Pom Garland

These pom-poms are kind of my favorite. I loved having fluffy little pets all around the house. And I enjoyed throwing them at Stevie’s head continually while he wasn’t looking. Perfect rainy day activity.  Plus, they look so cute on the mantle! Baby Jesus and pom-poms go together right?

Here’s where I found the easiest tutorial.

My notes:

  • I used 3 skeins of yarn total and it didn’t make as many as I thought it would. Just enough for 1 strand of medium sized poms and one strand of small sized poms.
  • So fluffy!!
  • I would tie up all the balls first and then channel my inner Edward Scissorhands and trim them up.
  • It was one of the more time consuming projects, meaning it took me well over an hour for each strand of garland.
  • I strung the poms on yarn with a yarn needle, leaving little knots at the end for hanging. I hung a couple leftovers on the tree too.

  1. I think baby Jesus would have liked playing catch with pom-poms! Very cute idea – and I loved the Christmas tree ornament made of sticks and ribbon… you are very creative!
