First Time at Knott's Berry Farm

This was not only Stevie’s first trip to Knott’s, but mine too!  I have been to Knott’s SCARY Farm a couple times – but that is much different than the regular ol’ berry farm.  We spent our day in the Camp Snoopy area and Stevie loved it.

He initially did not want to get on any rides other than the choo choo train, but of course I forced him to. Once he realized how fun it was, then it became impossible to get him off the rides!  Had to drag him by his collar as he screamed and flailed about.

Then we’d do it all over again.

Honestly, if it wasn’t so hot, it would’ve been a pretty darn good day.  And now I can tell you some things that I learned about Knott’s Berry Farm:

  1. You can not bring food into the park.  Only water/sports drinks.  A bag of small chips at the snack bar will run you about $4.  A soft serve ice cream cone will cost you about $5.  And lunch will cost about a million.
  2. There was plenty for little kids to do.  Even with a child who doesn’t like much, we stayed for about 6 hours!
  3. I went on a Thursday and the lines were totally easy.  We only waited 10 minutes for one little coaster in Camp Snoopy.  I’m sure the thrill ride lines were longer, but I don’t get to try those for a few more years.
  4. A Knott’s Season Pass is cheaper than a one-day ticket to Disneyland.
  5. It does not have the same magic as Disneyland, but if you want a more “fair” like experience, it’s totally acceptable.

I considered this a test-run, and since Stevie is still talking about 5 days later, I’m sure we’ll go again.

Here are things Stevie didn’t like.
A) Holding an ice cream cone.
B) Leaving the Camp Bus ride.
C) Riding the airplanes by himself.

Angry Stevie.

P.S. Don’t mind the large pimple-like obtrusion on his forehead.  His stitches got infected.  I can’t even.

  1. Ummmmmmm, I LOVE THAT PLACE! You absolutely MUST go around Christmas time… We always take our nephews when we visit G’s parents in Yorba Linda and I honestly think that he and I have just as much fun as the kiddos. There is also real snow and a killer Charile Brown Christmas musical that is totally worth staying late for! 😉

Ps. – Why does “angry Stevie” face have to look so cute!?

    1. I love that! We will definitely have to check it out! I kind of can’t wait!!

  2. I vote for the Knott’s season pass! I have read several articles of late on the price increases at D-land and the long, long lines. I love Disneyland, but who needs that?

  3. Sounds good. Maybe we can all go one day?!

    1. We would LOVE that!! As soon as the weather cools off 🙂
