My brother, sister and nephew are here!  The holiday started out slow, ended with a bang <— see what I did there?

Most of the morning was spent testing out ways to wear our bandannas. Then a delightful BBQ at a friends’ house – complete with burgers, pulled pork, a pool for the kiddos, and the most beautiful rendition of “Happy Birthday” sung loud and clear to ‘merica.  A 9:00pm trip to Ralph’s for some milk (Hey, we are still parents after all. Some things can’t wait.) And then we walked just up the street for a view of the Starlight Bowl fireworks.

Everyone in this house was asleep by 10:30.  Good, good day.
