Midwest Trip: Days 2 + 3

Oh Chicago.  Another city crush.  You all know I am a huge fan of New York, but Chicago is up there too.  It’s like the preppy little sister to rockin’ NYC.  Lots of good shopping, eating and city fun while still looking so pretty and friendly.  Stevie likes the hustle and bustle of the city too.  Cars and buses and garbage trucks and all that stuff.  It’s not quite as fun for Paul and I to chase him through the busy streets, but he did seem pretty happy torturing us.

We started off Day 2 of our trip with breakfast at the hotel and then, would you believe we actually worked out?  Paul went to the gym and I did a sprint workout in the room.  Who are we?  After all that silliness was done, we took a drive.  Mostly so Stevie would nap.  And he did.  Parenting level: expert.  We drove around and around.  Once Stevie woke up, we met up with the cousins again.  We rode the L to Old Town and then Lincoln Square for some dinner.  Good day.

On Day 3, we missed breakfast because we actually slept. More unusual behavior from the Peltekian family.  Once we got going, we met the cousins at Millennium Park.  Of course I took a million photos of CloudGate as if I’m the first person who’s ever seen it.  And as if I don’t already have a million photos from our last trip.  I don’t know.  Anyway, after making our way through the park and seeing the awesome new playground, we decided to eat more deep dish pizza.  Because.  So good.  Then we thought we could squeeze in a visit to the museum, but they were all about to close.  So we walked around by the waterfront, got in our rented minivan and headed to Madison, Wisconsin.
