Quick Catch Up While I Edit a Million Photos

What an insane week it’s been.  Insane in the best way possible, I mean.

Last Sunday, Paul and I had a date night to see Elton John at the Staples Center.  We were so far away, in the second to last row, we now know what he would look like from outer space. And I’ll tell you, there’s glitter.  But once he played all my favorite songs, we got the hell out of there because we were so uncomfortable.  Note to self: don’t buy the cheap seats at Staples.  Ever.  It’s not worth any amount of money. That being said, I was really glad we got to see the show since he’s been on my list.  Totally iconic. When he can play ONE CHORD from a song and everyone knows that Bennie and the Jets is coming up? Good good good.catching up, going places, elton john, seattle, portland, wedding

First thing Monday morning-ish, we were off on a last minute trip to see the Pacific Northwest.  We stayed in Seattle for a couple days and then drove down to Portland for a couple more.  It was a great trip and what I imagine would be the best time of year to go.  Especially since we wanted to escape the heat trap that was LA. Once I get a chance to go through the oh-so-many photos, I will do a few posts of our favorite things, and of course keep you up to date with Stevie’s shenanigans.catching up, going places, elton john, seattle, portland, wedding

Immediately upon our return, I was swept away into my best friend’s fairy tale wedding.  A fairy tale where I’m showing too much boob, but a beautiful day nonetheless.  The weekend was filled with excitement, nerves, so many emotions.  The bridesmaids all got our hair and makeup done alongside the bride, and we felt like princesses, prancing around all day.  We showed the party bus who was boss and danced into the night.  I slept extra careful so I could keep my fake eyelashes on for one more day.  This morning my body and feet ache, and I look kiiinda like a toe-up pop star.  But I can only smile.  Everything turned out perfect.

Congrats to Sona and Brian!  I know there will be endless years of happiness.catching up, going places, elton john, seattle, portland, wedding

So that’s what we’ve been up to!  The end for now.
