Temecula + The 7 Year Itch

Paul and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary over the weekend.  On Friday night, we had our traditional dinner at Arnie Morton’s Steakhouse (holla) and then on Saturday we went away for a little overnighter to Temecula.  It. Was. Perfect.  So relaxing.  Beautiful weather.  The wineries were dressed to impress.  I just loved it all.

Over dinner, we usually discuss our goals for the upcoming year of marriage.  And this year, I honestly couldn’t think of anything I would change.  I mean, yes, I need to cook more and be a better housekeeper.  That’s always a point of guilt for me.  But as far as our relationship goes and the time we spend together and the parenting team and the balance that we bring to each other and our communication… well, there’s not much to improve on.  We are far from perfect – but I think part of our success is knowing that.  We don’t have ridiculous expectations of each other and we do what we can to make the other person feel happy and appreciated.  So I guess we have it all figured out, huh?!  Haha.

I guess if someone asked, my only advice to other couples would be to show kindness to one another and have a freakin’ sense of humor.  But who knows?  It might just be that I totally lucked out.

Blue dress is pretty old. Like 2008 old. But it’s from Gap I believe.
