The Good News: Paul had the whole week of Thanksgiving off.

The Plan: Relax! We would drop Stevie off at school and go see movies.  We would pick him up and go play. We would get lots of rest.  We would go on a couple dates.  Eat yummy food and maybe pretend we were somewhere else.  My sister and nephew would visit and we would host a small Thanksgiving and have so much fun.  What a splendid week it would be!

The Reality:  Stevie got a stomach bug on Sunday that lasted for daysssss.  I got the stomach bug on Tuesday.  My sister got the stomach bug on Saturday.  There was a death in the family.  There were no movies.  There was no extra rest.  We still hosted a small Thanksgiving and I had some much needed girl time with my sister, but I have to say it was kind of a weird Thanksgiving overall.  I missed my family.  It came and it went and today I feel a bit sad.
