Hope for Heather teespring.com Campaign

Perhaps you’ve read about my friend Heather before.  She is one tough cookie – battling brain cancer (+some) and raising awareness all over social media for rare diseases like  hers: Cowden Syndrome and Lhermitte-duclos Disease.  Here is her latest attempt to get the word out.  Shirts purchased will also help her pay medical bills.

Hi everyone! I would like to thank Jaana for this opportunity to share some things with you.  I have known Jaana for several years and we have a mutual love of all things Disneyland.  But that’s besides the point.  🙂

A few years ago I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor and that led to another diagnosis of a rare disease called Cowden Syndrome.  I write on my blog (which is the “hopeforheather“) and tweet to do what I can to raise awareness for both syndromes since they are both so rare.

A  few days ago I found a link to create shirts to help me in my advocacy efforts.  It’s called teespring.com and it’s a crowdfunding site.  “Crowdfunded custom apparel”.  I made the shirts to help me in my awareness efforts so if you purchase a shirt you help me in my goal PLUS you also help me too!  I have 17 days to complete the campaign otherwise the shirts will not be printed.

I hope you will consider purchasing a shirt.  Thank you!

  1. Thank you so much for doing this and helping me get the word out. I have 14 more days and need 38 more t-shirts to be reserved. Those aren’t great odds; but that’s OK. I’m doing the best at what I’m doing and if this doesn’t work (I don’t reach the 50 shirts reserved) I’ll just look for my next thing to do. 🙂
