Wrapping Up September

After we returned home from San Francisco, it was time to get back to reality.  And I’m never ready for that.  But to get me through the adjustment, we had a few more fun things on the schedule.

Tati Lara surprised Paul and I with DMB tickets for the Hollywood Bowl.  She said “Happy Anniversary!”, provided the babysitting and sent us on our way.  It was awesome.

I got to photograph two of my favorite friends from olden times within a couple days of each other.  I loved seeing them and their families now that we’re all growns up.  I will have those up on Photography by Jaana in the next couple weeks I hope.

Paul and I were lucky enough to be invited to a real life Hollywood pre-Emmy party!  The night before the Emmys, the History Channel hosted a shin-dig at the Soho House to honor The Hatfields & McCoys mini-series that got so much recognition.  Since Paul worked on the documentary, we got to attend.  It was exciting.  And I was nervous in my sparkly dress.  I haven’t worn heels in a really long time, and my pinky toe was numb for like 3 days after this.

Lastly, we topped it all off with our trip to Napa Valley.  But that gets it’s own post.  Coming up!

Maybe I’ll never fully adjust to reality…
