- Before I can get my hair done next, a total of 10 weeks will pass. In the bleached blonde pixie world that I live in, you must know that this is basically a travesty. Hats will soon be the only answer.
- We are about a month into summer fun, and I have dealt with more soggy, pooh-pooh, brown-water-running-down-the-leg swim diapers than I care to discuss. Swim diapers are a lifesaver, but still really, really gross. I keep lecturing Stevie about the importance of telling mom when it’s “caca time”. But ya know. Not there yet.
- I am drowning in a sea of mess. I have been so focused on keeping Stevie busy, the house has fallen into more disarray than usual. This is not good.
- I want to go camping!! Or boating!! Or a road trip!! As you can see, my energy is focused on very important things.
- On these hot, hot days, if we are not at the beach or the pool, we are probably at the air-conditioned mall. And this leads to purchases that I absolutely do not need. Like this crisp, white, linen dress. What mother in her right mind needs a crisp, white, linen dress? One who might not be in her right mind, I guess. One that has a 3 year old running and screaming through every store, perhaps. It’s called a stressed-out impulse buy. And it will be filthy and wrinkled in 3, 2, 1…
I love your new dress! That would be hard to pass up. I say let the house go for the summer, have fun and catch up with at all later. I always do a good fall cleaning before the holidays, until then, ‘the living is easy’ as they say.
