I haven’t had a good old fashioned photo project in a long time.  I racked my brain, trying to think of something creative and fun for this year, that wouldn’t get old after a couple weeks.  When I started going through photos of yore, I came across some diptychs I had made years ago.  And that settled it – a weekly set of 2 photos that go together to tell a story.  We all know they will mostly be pictures of Stevie, because well, he’s the story of my life. But it can really be about whatever I want and whatever speaks to me that week.

Making : fun of our dumb cat.
Cooking : should i just delete this one?
Drinking : diet coke from the can.  i stopped buying it for awhile… but it’s back.
Reading : i love you, stinkyface
Wanting : winter weather.  i’ve only worn boots like once!
Looking : at my husband napping.  he moves his mouth around a lot.
Playing : rough.  stevie loves jumping off the couch into my arms and then spinning around and around.
Deciding : on what to put in our will.  good god it’s depressing to think about.
Wishing : my “wish-trip” this month is amsterdam.
Enjoying : quiet time.  like seriously, it’s so quiet right now.  just the coffee brewing and my fingers typing.
Waiting : for things to “click”.  everyone says it will happen.  i hope so.
Liking : brunch, where it’s acceptable to eat a sandwich and soda, or eggs and coffee.  i like options.
Wondering : what stevie dreams about.
Loving : stevie chatter.  when he saw food in the cat’s dish, he said “Eat, Gadoo!” without any prompting.
Pondering : how many therapy sessions a week should a 3 year old really have?
Considering : platinum. blonde. like no messing around. gwen stefani style almost white hair.
Watching : blue’s clues.
Hoping : that eventually working out will show some results.  its been a month, body!
Marveling : at nature. deer in our city park = excited me.
Needing : more quiet times.
Smelling : dat coffee.
Wearing : jeggings, chambray and moccs.  the new uniform.  also, those are real words.
Following : renegade mothering.  her language is not for the faint of heart. i like that.
Noticing : moms who have it together all the time.  they really drive me nuts.
Knowing : nobody is perfect.
Thinking : out loud.
Feeling : lonely.
Admiring : my girlfriends.  i must be attracted to good writers. several women in my life are so talented!
Sorting : through my closet.
Buying : workout pants.  i decided i look too frumpy in capris.
Getting : antsy.  so much i want to do without the time to accompany the desire.
Bookmarking : watches.
Disliking : tantrums obviously.  and that our health insurance just went up by 20%!!!
Opening : the patio door more.  letting the breezes in.
Giggling : when stevie giggles.
Feeling : nostalgic.
