Things I Learned in 2012

– I can no longer call them freckles. Let’s face it, they’re age spots.
– A 15 minute nap can change your life.
– I never thought I’d say this. EVER. But coffee is goooood (with lots of sugar).
– I will (and did) gain weight when I don’t walk or ride a bike on a regular basis.
– I can seriously get away with washing my hair only 2x’s a week.
– OMG Homeland.  So intense.  New forehead wrinkles.
– Painful shoes are just not worth it.
– Apple trees have thorns.  And if you go apple picking, your jogging stroller tires will be ruined.  All of them.
– I really can’t stand Halloween time when every store advertises “Spook-tacular Savings”.  Its just so stupid.
– It’s hard to find people who relate to things we’ve been through.
– Fleece lined jeans from Baby Gap are like magical pants (for a kid with SPD).
– A glass of champagne with a girlfriend makes for a great evening.  Yup, almost 34.  Just learned this.
– Disney movies are the only blu-rays worth buying.
– The Gangnam Style dance.  And I did it at a wedding.  Oppa!
– Pho.  Specifically filet mignon pho.  It’s the only thing we want to eat on cold evenings.
– I will live if I don’t own every shade of nail polish that’s ever been created.
– Changing a million dirty diapers is actually the easiest part of parenthood.
– Patience is a virtue that doesn’t seem to come naturally to me.
– A fat cat makes for a great older sibling.
– Snow days are the best days.  As long as you’re sledding.

Up for debate in 2013:

– Wrinkle creams. Do they really work?
– Best cookie. Diddy Reese or Snookies?
– Binky.  Let him have it or take it away?
– Babies.  Have more?

  1. HAHAHAAAAAAA! Love this list! Oh how I want to make one of my own. But – for the 2013 debate thing: Here’s my take although you didn’t ask. 🙂 First- WHAT Is a Diddy Reese? Snookie kind of scares me because I think of the OTHER snookie. 🙂

Second- wrinkles. Oh my. I just told my mom I need her to cut my bangs so it will cover my forehead wrinkles!!!!!!!!! HAH! But I just have been using (granted, not very well) vitamin E cream from a natural health food store. Natural, no ingredients I can’t pronounce. Vitamin E because my mom said she used to buy Vit E capsules and break them apart and put the stuff right under her eyes. AND – do we always get asked if we’re sisters? NO JOKE. I guess that means I need some for me!

    1. Diddy Reese is a cookie place in Westwood right by UCLA. Heather, next time you’re up for it we can grab some SNOOKIE (haha) and taste test it against a Diddy Reese!! Seriously so good.
