Little Black Romper

This first paragraph is always the hardest one to write. I used to love blabbing about the mundane day to day nonsense, but my writer’s block has been strong for the last… oh, 2 years or so. LOL. Today, I just have nothing much to say. It’s been a quiet-ish week. I’ve argued with family members over that Frontline Doctors video. I’ve been annoyed and also in love with my little family. And I think a lot about how and when we’re going to go about integrating back into some semblance of a “normal” life. Oh! I took a nap yesterday. That pretty much sums it up. 🙂

outfit notes

We’re at the start of a little heat wave and I realized this black romper hasn’t had much play this summer. At least not yet. But based on previous years’ data, it’s a keeper. So I’ll definitely be carrying it over into Summer Capsule Part 2: HOT EDITION. I think the reasons are obvious. Linen fabric. Loose fit. No fuss. This black romper will be one of 2 rompers in the updated capsule — and both were full length pants jumpsuits that I turned into shorts!

allyship notes

I loved this lighthearted, yet educational episode from my fave Conan O’Brien. Conan Without Borders: Ghana (also streaming on HBO Max). I love that so many of his travel shows as of late have been about understanding other cultures. He makes himself the clown, and never rips anyone’s traditions or rituals. So we get to see beautiful people and different ways of life and still sneak in a laugh. It was also powerful to see Sam Richardson’s experience, as he is from Ghana, and the country was having a celebration to honor the ancestors and slaves from the region.
