Outfits 22-28 + a Packing List for One Day in Vegas

Paul and I were lucky enough to escape for a night and celebrate one of my favorite girls turning 40! I think I’ve mentioned before that this has been a big year for travel because we have so many friends hitting milestone birthdays — and I just can’t be mad about it.

We spent most of our glorious day lounging in a cabana at the MGM before having a top notch dinner at Morimoto and drinks at the Chandelier Bar (one of my favorite spots). The sun positively killed me that day and I ended up in bed earlier than planned. But I woke up the next day feeling rested and refreshed. Highly unusual Vegas behavior.

The rest of our days around here have been a mix of crazy busy and overwhelmingly dull. There doesn’t seem to be much in between. And because of our extended May Gray and June Gloom, the summer has also felt pretty slow coming. Not that I’m complaining! I’ve enjoyed the cool, comfortable temps, it’s just that it’s unusual for a place where it normally never seems to end. And it puts me in a bit of a shock to realize that it’s nearly mid-July and Stevie will be starting the 3rd Grade in one short month. Each year seems to go faster than the last and TBH it’s kinda terrifying.

At least I got to take my boot off (yay!) and Stevie started summer camp (double yay!) and believe it or not, we have more travels coming up (yayayayay). So for now, I will just continue to try and embrace things as they come — be busy when I need to and slow down when there’s time.

While you’re here make sure you give our new podcast a listen! We’d love if you review and rate it too. Hope your July is off to a good start!
