Easy Chinos

I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend. Ours was the same as every other weekend lately — except with about 10 gajillion fireworks going off all hours of the night. But the most exciting part of the day for me was going straight past the festivities and into bed at 9pm. Not even a little bit sad about it. Oh, and a side note: my roots are now long enough that I just found my first grey hair. I AM a little bit sad about that one.

outfit notes

If this outfit looks familiar, it’s probably because I wore such a similar one in this post! You already know I love a white button down for summer, and of the three I have — though not always documented — this is the one I’ve worn the most so far. It’s just easy. Short sleeves, wide cut, and a few quick little adjustments (like a half-tuck or knot) keep the styling fresh.

The easy chinos on the other hand, are ones I haven’t been reaching for very much. Not because I don’t like them, I just truly forget about them! I’m so dedicated to my denim, in short or long form, that I’ll always grab those first. But these really are a great in-between pant. The easy chinos are lighter than denim and comfy as pajamas. They run slightly big, which has worked out well for me. They still fit well, even as I experience weight fluctuations. Phew! Not many clothes I can say that about.

allyship notes

I had to go back and double check my posts because I can’t believe I haven’t shared about The 13th yet. Hopefully you already know about it and have watched. But if not, add it to your list! It’s really informative, so much so that I actually would like to see it again to retain a bit more of it. And if you’re wondering how a special needs mom with virtually no time to do much of anything has the time to watch so many movies? Well… I don’t sleep much. Unfortunately. (Also explains the 9pm bedtime on 4th of July.)
