Have Thanksgiving, Will Travel

Thanksgiving 2012 was so busy and so fun.  The last few years we have been spoiled rotten and had two Thanksgiving dinners.  One in San Diego with Paul’s relatives on the actual day, and then one at my mom’s house in So Utah over the weekend.  The biggest downfall of having two Thanksgivings?

All. That. Driving.

You thought I was going to say “getting fat”, didn’t you?  Well, even though yes, we do eat enough for a small village, I am always prepared with stretchy pants.

But the driving… is really such a pain in the butt.  And you’ve all heard me complain about the Vegas —> LA traffic.  This year was no exception.  There was traffic coming, there was traffic going.  There was really no way around it.  So we tried to take our time.  Stop for Starbucks and Denny’s.  Stretch our legs.  Try to keep our
un-entertainable son entertained.  Somehow we did it.

And while we were in Utah, a couple cool things happened!

#1. Stevie slept through the night.  Both nights.
#2. It was the first time Stevie made the sign for “more”.  The slide was a big motivation.
#3. When I asked Stevie “Where is your cousin Jorel?” he pointed him out and went to give him a kiss.

These were major.  And it made the tired butts, and the too many sweet-tarts, and the same songs over and over in the car totally worthwhile.

 San Diego first…

Then Utah…

A few attempts at a family picture.  Yes, the professional photographer
got her shutter speed wrong, thus the blurry children.

Uncle Bart getting a swift kick to the head.

Haha.  Baby chair.

BUT I DON’T WANNA WEAR A HOOD!!!!!!!!

Oh, that’s better.

Paul says “I see at least 3 jackasses in this picture.”  Not including the donkey…

Just the neighborhood.  So pretty.

We always do cousin pictures.  This was my favorite.
