What’s up, what’s up, what’s up! Not much going on here, this weekend I was having major urges to BUY BUY BUY new jeans. So I did order jeans to try from the Madewell Insider’s Sale, but also felt it would be important to see what I already have. I was assuming nothing would fit, so I’ve been avoiding trying them all on. But knowledge is power! So I had to do it. And it wasn’t so awful. OMG with this outfit! It’s one of those that I actually love in person and even makes me feel kinda cool. But then try to take a picture… and wow! It just really falls apart. Haha. The prompt from the #monthlystylechallenge today is “buttoned-up” so I took that literally and buttoned up my shirt all the way to the top. That one extra button at the top feels so much edgier, I needed big earrings and a high, dramatic (albeit small) ponytail to match.

A fascinating article about climate migration. I’ve read about it before and wondered what it would take for us to leave Southern California. But a different perspective to think about would be how this will affect those who can’t just leave. As the article states “…low-income and Black and Indigenous communities face environmental change on top of poor health and extreme poverty.” We need to make environmental policy a priority when we vote — not only because of how it may affect us, but also how it will affect the more vulnerable people in our population.
